Know before you go

Registration and Check In for ticketed guests for the Extra Yard for Teachers Summit & Lounge begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 6th. Please bring your ticket with you to receive your event credentials.

Please use the Building A/B Lobby Checkpoint/Security Entrance of the Georgia World Congress Center. The Summit will take place in the Sidney Marcus Auditorium located on the 4th floor of Building A. The Teachers Lounge will be located on the 3rd Floor of Building A. Note: For safety and security purposes, the Auditorium and 3rd Floor areas will be access controlled using credentials and tickets that you will receive once you have completed check in and passed through the security checkpoint located in the A/B Lobby.

Safety & Security Policies

The following policies will be in effect for the Summit and Lounge:

  • For those who have registered for the Summit and have a ticket to the Summit show from 2-4, seating is first-come, first-seated. The first 1,650 to check in on Saturday will receive credentials to access the Summit theater; any additional guests are welcome to watch the Summit in the simulcast screening room in the Lounge. The Summit is sold out at this point. If seats are still available in the theater just before the start of the show, we will open them up as we are able. 
  • Summit ticket holders do have access to the Lounge with no additional ticketing. 
  • Lounge ticket holders will not have access to the Summit show. 
  • Children and minors (under the age of 18) may never be left unattended. The Summit show is a stage show with speakers and is reserved for educators; we ask that you not attempt to bring in children or minors. Children and minors may accompany family members to the Lounge as capacity permits. 
  • If the Lounge is at capacity, guests are welcome to visit Playoff Fan Central until space becomes available. 

The following entry policies will be in effect at the Georgia World Congress Center:

  • Security Policy: All individuals will be subject to a search upon entry and must have proper credentials to access specific areas/events including the Extra Yard For Teachers Summit, the Extra Yard For Teachers Lounge and Playoff Fan Central.
  • Bag Policy:
    • Please review the clear bag policy for all Atlanta Champ Game events.
    • Only clear bags will be allowed in the Georgia World Congress Center. You will be required to check any other bags in the bag valet.
    • Approved: clear tote not to exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
    • Approved: small clutch purse not to exceed 4.5” x 6.5”
    • Prohibited: backpacks, briefcases, camera and computer bags, coolers, luggage
  • Summit Credential Policy: Summit-specific credentials will be required to access the Auditorium and also provides access to the Teachers Lounge. Access to the Summit Auditorium will be granted on a first-come, first-served policy. In the event that capacity is reached, the Summit will be broadcast live in the Teachers Lounge.
  • Lounge Wristband Policy: Teachers who have registered for the Lounge will receive a special wristband to gain access to the Lounge area. Note: Lounge wristbands cannot be used to access the Summit show.

**Failure to comply with these safety and security policies will result in denial of entry.

The following items will be prohibited from the Extra Yard for Teachers Summit and Lounge:

  • Animals (except service animals to aid guests with disabilities)
  • Bottles, cans, coolers and beverage containers of any kind (except for guests with medical/dietary needs)
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Outside food
  • Fireworks, firearms and weapons of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Noisemakers or noisemaking devices of any kind
  • Signs or flags on sticks, poles or larger than what one person can hold
  • Video cameras, tripods, monopods and camera with a lens longer than four inches (detachable or non-­detachable)
  • Chairs, stools or other seating devices

**Any other item(s) determined by management to be dangerous or inappropriate will not be allowed into the Summit and Teachers Lounge.

**Use of Public Transportation is strongly recommended and encouraged due to a number of other events taking place on Saturday, January 6th at the Georgia World Congress Center.  Information on Public Transportation is available here.
